Mesmerism and the connection between the Body and Mind

When someone writes, he/she includes his/her own perception of the subject matter in the work without even thinking about it. By analyzing a few of Poe's works, we can get a feel for how Poe perceived the concept of mesmerism as well as how he viewed the connection between the body and mind.
